The Mothboat Nationals are the Classic Moth Boat Association's annual championship races held in Elizabeth City, NC, on the Pasquotank River. The event celebrates the history of the classic moth sailboat, which was first designed and built in Elizabeth City in 1929 by Joel Van Sant. The races feature one-design sailing dinghies that are small, nimble, and lightweight, competing in different divisions like Vintage, Generation 1, and Generation 2.
